Discovering the Perfect Gel Nails : Leaf Gel Premium

Updated: Mar 28

I can't believe we are at the end of 2023 and the start of the new year is going to be upon us.

Today, I'm excited to share my experiences with Leaf Gel, one of my favorite Japanese gel nail brand. If you're curious about Japanese gels and want to know why Leaf Gel has stolen my heart, keep reading.

Leaf Gel Premium is a Japanese gel brand that I've grown to love. Leafgel Premium stands out as a 10-Free Potted Gel Nail System, setting the standard for safety and performance in the world of nail art. But what does "10-Free" really mean? It's all about what's NOT in this gel system. Leafgel Premium is completely free of ten harmful chemicals often found in nail products, so you don't have to worrying about toxic ingredients. Leaf Gel like any Japanese gel brand, they provide base gels, top gels, and an impressive array of colors. Let's dive what they offerings.

Leaf Gel offers three types of base gels, each with its own unique characteristics.

You have Extreme Clear: This is your everyday wear base gel. It offers high adhesion, smooth application, and has a thin consistency, which makes it one of my favorites. It works exceptionally well with other brands, giving you versatility in your nail art.

Of course there is Sanding-Free Base Gel: This is a sanding-free base gel. While I'm not typically a fan of sanding-free gels, this one surprised me with its quality and durability, making it a great choice. I've come to love this product and I think it might be due to its new formulation. Lastly there is Training Base Gel: Ideal for students or those who don't wear gel frequently. It's easy to apply and soak off, making it a convenient option for beginners or those who prefer a temporary nail solution.

Moving on there are 5 top gels to help you achieve that flawless finish. Two of them come in pots. Rich Matte: This is a matte top coat that requires no prep when wiping. I recommend using acetone for the best results. While I haven't used this one extensively, it should perform similarly to other matte top coats. Perfect Shine: This top coat is perfect for bulkier nail designs, like glitters, charms, and foils. It effectively seals everything in and provides a high-shine finish. Remember to remove the inhibition layer after use for the best results. Leafgel use to offer Top Gel Rev an UV only top coat, but I believe its not available anymore.

Leaf Gel also offers three bottle-form top coats which I'm going to get into. You have Glossy Top: A thicker top coat that works well with nail art. It leaves a high shine and is great for self-leveling. It requires wiping the inhibition layer.

Non-White Top II: One of my personal favorites. It's easy to apply with a thin consistency and provides a shiny, glossy finish. Leaf Gel claims it doesn't yellow, although I haven't tested this myself.

Non-White Matte Top: As the name suggests, it's a non-white matte top coat, perfect for those who love a matte finish.

Leaf Gel's sculpting gel is known as Sculpting 2. This gel allows you to build length and provides excellent hardness. It offers great flexibility and it's also an easy soak off, making it one of my favorite sculpting gel. I would say this one is probably one of my best sculpting gels, because it wears light so you don't feel like you have extensions on and it's easy to soak off.

Leaf Gel has a good color range. Their gel colors have a medium consistency, making them perfect for nail art and full cover nails. They self-level beautifully and does't blur when layered with other colors. However, keep in mind that some colors may separate in the jar, so a little stirring might be needed. Compared to brands like Vetro and Presto that claim not to require stirring, Leaf Gel colors might need a bit more help in that area. While not all colors are ideal for nail art, they excel in providing stunning full coverage.

Leaf Gel also offers some bottled polishes, although I haven't had the chance to try them yet. If you're feeling adventurous, you might want to give them a try and discover new possibilities for your nail designs.

I hope this gives you a little more insight on what Leafgel Premium can offer. If you're ready to explore the world of Leaf Gel, you can get 10% off their products at zillabeau.com using the code "nalee07."

Stay beautiful.
